You have headache, maybe also dizziness/vertigo, may also with nausea. You have seen all kinds of medical professionals. Doctors have checked your neck and brain and could not find anything wrong, because they could not anything to blame at so they can only put pain medicines but they don't work at all. And then your doctor would suggest to do physical therapy because your insurance covers it. But it did not work. Chiropractor may say your cervical vertebral do not a a curve but the adjustment does not work at all or you might better temporary. and you have massage, you might feel better shortly and then gave acupuncture a try. You might little better. But you still headache, dizziness and nausea every day. You have tried all medical therapies but all failed and now you are desperate not. Is this the end of the world? For most people, yes, it is. But if you are lucky and found us, it is not.
Why this happens?
Because this is soft tissue lesion or injury on the neck area. some particular muscles on the neck region are inflamed on the ends (the tendons) where they attack the bones. This is extreme hard to cure. This may pinch or irritate some of the nerves like occipital nerve of major or minor and auricle nerve and cause headaches, when they pinch the vertebral artery and cause some parts of the brain lack of blood supply and cause dizziness/vertigo and nausea or other strange symptoms like alternating fever and chills and insomnia.
Why MD could not help?
Because it is aseptic inflammation of the muscles and tendons, which will not show on the any imaging test or lab work. So MDs would have no idea what is going on. And so they cannot help.
Since it is inflammation of soft tissues, can cortisone or prednisone work? No, they might relive the symptoms temporary. But will not cure it.
Since it is soft tissues, why physical therapy, chiropractic, massage or traditional acupuncture would not work?
Chiropractic might adjust the misalignment of the cervical vertebrates if you have that. But the misalignment if from the muscle injury causing the contracture
